3 Game Changing Home Remedies for Quick Eyelash Growth


Like our face and body, eyelashes are also very essential elements of beauty. For centuries poets and writers have emphasized the importance of having long, sparkly eyelashes that made the eyes more attractive.

Women and men both crave for healthy, long and thick lashes.

But due to many bad habits our lashes fall out and their growth is hampered.

By using these homemade serums you can improve your eyelash growth and make them thicker.

But you should remember that every individual is different. So it may take longer for your lashes to grow depending on the overall hair growth powers of your body.

1. Castor Oil, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E Serum:

Castor oil is a proven hair and eyelash growth ingredient. Castor oil contains ri ci no leic acidthat inhibits the growth of prostaglandin D2 which is responsible for baldness in humans. (1)

This oil is also rich in fatty acids, antioxidants and various Vitamins that improves blood circulation between hair follicles, resulting in prompt hair growth.

Aloe Vera is also rich in antioxidants like Vitamin A, C and E along with Vitamin B12, folic acid and choline. It has healing properties, Glucomannan-a growth hormone that boosts hair, eyebrow and eyelash growth. (2)

Vitamin E is a wonder drug! It can heal scars and builds new tissue. Being an antioxidant, it reduces inflammation that cures the damage to follicles. Healthy and strong follicles mean fast hair growth. (3)

You’ll Need:

● 3 tablespoons of fresh Castor Oil

● 2 teaspoons of Aloe Vera gel ( Raw or Bottled)

● 2 Vitamin E capsules

Procedure:

● Take a bowl and add prescribed amount of aloe vera gel, castor oil and Vitamin E capsules in it.

● Mix it well

● Apply the serum on your lashes using cotton swabs or a clean mascara brush

● Keep it overnight and rinse off in the morning

● Take a clean washed container and store it upto 7 days in the refrigerator
● * Apply this serum for 3 months (3 times a week) to see the difference.

Caution:

❖ Aloe Vera can cause redness and burning and can also dry up the skin

❖ Apply gently. Be careful not to let the serum go into your eyes.

2. Coconut Oil and Olive Oil Serum:

Hair benefits of coconut oil are beyond description. Research suggests that compared to sunflower oil and mineral oils, coconut oil is more powerful in reducing protein loss both in its pre-wash and after-wash usages. (4)

Olive oil has many vitamins that lock the keratin in your hair, it reduces excess buildup of sebum. Sebum reduces growth of follicles so olive oil is a must to have in your eyelash serum. (5)

You’ll Need:

● 2/3 teaspoons of Virgin Coconut Oil

● 2 teaspoons of Olive Oil

● Some hot water in a bowl

Procedure:

● Mix the oils together in a bowl

● Take the hot water bowl and drop the oil containing bowl in it

● This will heat up the oils without damaging their qualities

● Apply the oil onto your lashes using cotton swab or clean mascara wand

● Keep it overnight or maximum 2 hours for fast results

*Use this oil twice a week for 3 months

3. Lemon Peel and Olive Oil Serum:

Lemons contain minerals such as calcium, magnesium and is rich in folic acids. It also has a compound called Limonene that smoothens the hair. It’s anti-fungal properties kills dandruff therefore improving eyelash growth.

You’ll Need:

● 3 teaspoons of Fresh Virgin Olive Oil

● 1 ½ teaspoon of lemon or lime juice

● Vitamin E capsule (optional)

Procedure:

● Chop off the lemon peels and soak them in the olive oil for 2 weeks

● You can add some Vitamin E capsules to the mixture

● Store it in the refrigerator

● While applying remember to always flow to upward direction

● Keep it on your lashes for some good 15 minutes and rinse off with cold water.

Caution:

● Acidic components in lemon can cause eye irritation, redness or itching

● Leaving it for too long may damage your eyes
