Careprost eye drops are a medication licensed to reduced increase intraocular pressure in patients with intraocular hypertension or glaucoma. The active ingredient of Carepost is Bimatoprost that belongs to a group of medications called prostaglandin analogue. During clinical application it was found that Bimatoprost significantly increases eyelashes growth when is applied on the upper eyelid. Bimatoprost is currently sold under the name Carepost,Lumigan and Latisse which is used to increase eyelashes growth making them longer, darker and thicker. Actually there is no difference between Careprost, Lumigan, Bimat and Latisse. All of them contain the same active ingredient – Bimatoprost ophthalmic solution 0.03% 3 ml, possesses identical effects and eye pressure and eyelashes growth. Careprost is currently manufactured by Sun Pharma.
How it works:
It helps eyelashes grow by increasing the number of hairs in the initial growth phase (the anagen phase). It also increases the amount of time hairs remain in the anagen phase, allowing them to develop more.
How to use Solution to increase lash length:
* Apply one drop on a disposable eyeliner applicator brush (you can buy from this site) and draw along the upper eyelid lash line. Carefully blot off any excess that may have dripped beyond the upper eyelid. Do not apply to the lower lash line. Repeat for the other eye.
* Apply once a day until the desired length is achieved. Results are usually apparent in about eight weeks, and the desired length is usually achieved in 14 to 16 weeks.
If you miss a dose of Careprost eye drops take it as soon as you remember, unless it is time to take the next dose, then skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose.
You should store your Careprost eye drops in a cool place where the temperature stays below 25C and always replace the top on the bottle to prevent contamination. Discard the bottle of Careprost eye drops 4 weeks after opening.
