2. With your chosen mascara, place it on the radiator for a few minutes before you use it to prevent it being hard and crusty, and to make it nice and easy to apply.
3. Using an eyelash comb, brush your lashes through to make sure they are separated and straight. Make sure you brush your top lashes through until you feel comfortable with them.
4. Using an eyelash curler, curl your eyelashes for 30 seconds.
5. Taking your mascara tube, swirl the wand around in the tube (it is important your swirl it and not pump it) and then gently dab the end of the bush bristles softly with a tissue.
6. Make sure you use a mirror for this step. Using the mirror, look at your eyelashes and brush downwards on your upper lashes softly using the mascara wand. Make sure you swipe from the root to the tip of your lash. You will most likely find that you need to slightly “zig-zag” the wand as you brush
7. Before the mascara has time to dry, comb the wand upwards on your upper lashes from underneath, again make sure you brush from the root to the tip.
Before it dries make sure you are happy with the position of your lashes, if you are not, make sure you are prompt in styling them with your mascara wand to prevent disappointment.
8. If you have found that your lashes have stuck together slightly, before the mascara dries take your comb and brush through them gently to make sure they are separated.
9. Once dried, repeat this process on your second eye.
10. Now for your bottom lashes. Gently wipe the tip of your mascara wand with a tissue, and hold the brush vertically in an upright position. Using the wand, brush your bottom lashes with the tip until you are happy with the shape. If further coats are required, wait until the lashes are dry before reapplying.
11. Your top lashes should now be dry. If you feel they need them, add an additional coat, however ensure there are no lumps, (if there are – gently brush through with the eyelash comb). Now repeat this on the second eye.
