Good grief! Do NOT apply this product in the way that Dr Wu has just
applied it to this poor girls eyelid!! She uses FAR too much. If this
method is followed by people using Latisse/Lumigan they may get
hyperpigmentation (darkening/purplish discoloration) on the eyelid! I’m
using Lumigan myself, have read up about it’s usage/side effects, and
followed many reviews about experiences with this product. Please apply
sparingly, pref. with a fine eyeliner brush, close to the lashline ok?

no hunney, you(docter)did not put that on right AT ALL!!! after a while she
would have big brown spots on her face…plus you don’t even need that much
for one application(the serum was literaly waisting off the so called
sterol applying brush).

This demonstration is so incorrect. One drop can do both eyes, but I use
the old cleaned brush from an Enormous Lash tube. That way there is
precision in the application and NO waste. I put one drop into the bottle
lid and apply from there… this product truly works and well! Lilash is
also good if you can’t get this prescription.

OMG! terrible! the doctor applied this like a gorilla! the brushes that
come with the kit should be trashed – i swear they are made to suck the
stuff up and cause waste so that you have to buy the product more often –
come on ladies do we not use eyeliner brushes repeatedly? i bought the thin
tipped eyeliner brush from the MAC and clean it nightly with contact
solution. two drops does both eyes upper and lower lashes and my brows – i
love it! & my lashes at week 12 are amazing!

OMG!! Is THAT why my eyelids turned purple. I looked like I’d put PURPLE
eyeshadow around my eyes. Unbelievable! Glad I saw this post!

So your using lumigan, rather than latisse? Any results yet? Where did you
get it, and for how much? Sorry to ask so many questions! I just have heard
that they both have the same ingridients, but lumigan is way cheaper!

Barefootwench, I get mine from Alldaychemist, an online pharmacy based in
India. Costs about $12 a bottle – but shipping is high (regardless of order
size, about $25). Have results at 16 weeks, yes, but not as striking as
some others have. Will continue for another month or two nightly.

can you believe I called my eye doctor of 20 something years and they knew
NOTHING about this product??? I am a Dental Hygienist and get more
questions about this product than tooth bleaching some days. I know nothing
of this product, but agree that she applied way too much solution to the
eye. There are problems with tooth bleaching due to abuse.They have to post
side effects, I realize that, however, do you think this is a safe product?
You seem to know your facts! Thanks!!

Holy Cow! I’m 42 and know nothing of this product. Did the PURPLE on your
eyes go away? Did your doctor not instruct you on how to apply the product?
Are you still using the product? Did your lashes grow? Hook up the
girlfriends!

Hi! I think the side efects are generally confined to the eye area itself
i.e. redness of eye and lid: hyperpigmentation around application sit; and,
worst of all, but rare, a change to iris color towards the browner end of
the spectrum. Go to Essentialdayspa and type ‘Lumigan for lash growth’ into
search bar. That will give you mainly anecdotal information. Then try the
OpthalmologyWeb – there’s a couple of threads on there with postings from
qualified Opthalmologists about Latisse/Lumigan.

Wow, thanks for the info! Just this morning on our local news they did a
medical piece on the product…I’m so happy! All positive reports, however,
they did go over the side effects, which may be due too improper use. Well,
thank you Dr. ladynipchick!! You have been soooo helpful! Beauty shall be
mine!!!

Yes, it does work but also in unlikely places as well – it grows hair
anywhere you apply it or it runs to. I personally ended up with hairy
cheeks. Oh, you don’t have to pay the jack-up price for Latisse; buy
Lumigan or generic version of it for $30 and apply with a fine brush
sparingly and it could last for up to a year!

Hi Superspa, I got my last bottle at Alldaychemist online, and yes it’s
Lumigan, the same thing as Latisse. It might also be known as Careprost.
It’s an online chemist based in India, but i haven’t bought a bottle for a
couple of years now! I stopped using it (life!) and just started back with
my last bottle about 6 weeks ago. Yes, ny lashes are getting much longer;
not sure if they are loads thicker though! Love, Ladynipchick
